The Valve 3/100 Head

The Valve 3/100 Head

The 3100 is all about versatility.

It's unique and different because it has been designed around the goal to accurately reproduce the specific tone of any model of guitar you're playing with by offering 5/6 different convincing sounds vintage to modern. The 3100 also features some other unique functions you will surely like:

  • a user friendly control interface with each channel sporting the same controls and only two switches on the front panel
  • a solo function which boosts the level and the gain at the same time so your solo has more volume but also more sustain. It's called "Boost"
  • the possibility to assign external MIDI effects to the supplied footswitch
  • a 'shaping' function, on the Lead channel, that allows you to switch from a rhythm part to a solo with the correct equalization on both in one just operation (a suggestion for metal friends ;)

This makes the 3100 the perfect tool to reproduce the sound you have heard on record or live and then personalize it to make it your own. On the other side the 3100 is very simple to understand and use with just two switches on the front panel. Or do you need 18 like we have seen recently?

The Valve 2/50 Head

The 2/50 head is the little sister of our 50W combos. It is basically the same amp with no speakers as it shares the same electronic of its combo brothers and the same unique features, which explain the huge success this model had among the pro players all around Europe:

  • it always respects the nature and tone of the guitar you're playing through it,
  • it's an incredibly dynamic and touch responsive amp,
  • the true functionality of the tone controls which really allow you to dial any kind of tone,
  • the fact it delivers two convincing tones, a wonderful clean and an astonishing lead on the same amp like no other amp in the market.

Yet it also manages to be extremely portable. The weight and footprint have been minimized to allow you to carry it like a suitcase making the 2/50 Head an exceptionally useful tool for those who are always on the move and need to have instant access to a range of utterly convincing tones covering all music from jazz to blues and heavy rock.
The basic tone is identical to that of the 2/50 combos and - depending on the type of cabinet you use - you can color your sound in different ways. Connect it to a 2x12 open-back cabinet for a vintage-style, three-dimensional sound that is similar to that made by a combo amp.
The 2/50 head can be run in pentode and triode mode through a dedicated switch on the rear panel, the triode mode delivering an harmonically richer tone and 30W reduced power, ideal for for smaller venues.
Other features include:

  • parallel/series effect loop with mixer
  • two speaker output- impedance selector (4/8/16 ohms)
  • presence and Depth controls on rear panel to alter your sound to fit any venue
  • full power/harmonics option for pentode and triode mode.

The Valve 105 "Bimbo" Head

The Valve 105 Bimbo Head

Are you living in apartment? Do you need to record or practice at home? Even during the night?

Are you frustrated as you can't use your actual amp at the volume you need because it's too loud and it sounds too weak at minimum volume settings?

Do you miss that touch liveness and response only tubes can give you? Your recordings are missing tone impact? Your composing vein is affected?

Still the neighbors are moaning?

The Valve has a tube amp that sounds the same at any volume level from 5W down to a 1/20W, capable of providing you with all the recording tones you need to comfortably compose at any hour of the day and of the night (when inspiration gets magic).
The 105 "Bimbo" 5W tube amp is single channel, 5 watt, class A amplifier that incorporates the preamp design based upon one of the most legendary rock guitar amplifiers ever produced in the early 1970. The best sound ever.

What makes the 105 unique though is the incorporated special attenuation control which allows to achieve the same tone as the loud sound but at a much lower volume for cranked amp tone and distortion at whisper levels.
The Bimbo special design also allows you to easily and quickly experiment with different power tubes like 6V6, 6L6, EL34, KT77, etc to precisely tailor your guitar tone to any need. All this makes this amp a must for home studio use.

Like its original "seventies" counterpart, this amp likes the guitar volume to be used like an appendage control. Adjust the controls for your best lead sound, turn the guitar’s volume knob down a bit for crunch and turn it down a bit more for cleans. It also likes the use of pedals so feel free to experiment with your overdrive for super high gain tones.
No effects loop, no reverb, etc here as the extra circuitry required by such functions, would degrade the tonal purity but check the video above to learn how this amp LOVES effects!
