The INDY Series Bass Amps feature Hybrid Circuitry Design, combining a Class A tube preamp with a Class D power amp. This hybrid technology succeeds in amalgamating a tube type bass amp with high power output, while reducing the amps weight by eliminating heavy weighted transformers in the power amp stage without sacrificing the amps tone.
The built-in tube type compressor that’s featured in all models guarantees touch-controlled dynamics and remarkable sustain when desired. The intuitive control panel features a 3 band EQ (Bass, Middle, Treble) and bass and treble boost switches to provide the electric bassist with maximum tone variation and personalization.

Epifani PS 400

Das Eingangssignal der Perfomance-Amps ist so rauscharm, wie man es sonst nur von teuren Preamps in Tonstudios kennt. Die 400-Watt-Class-AB-Endstufe gekoppelt mit einem Switch-Mode-Netzteil übertrifft die Werte der digitalen Amps in dieser Leistungsklasse. Zusammen mit dem musikalischen Preamp setzt die PS-Amp-Serie neue Standards. Dank des 3-Band-EQs mit Mid-Cut-Switch und Mid-Cut-Level-Control ist die Klangvielfalt grenzenlos. 

Die PS-Amps klingen sehr neutral, wie man es von Epifani erwartet. Als Vorbild für die Performance-Amps diente der erste Kanal des legendären UL 902. Jedes Detail sollte zu hören sein, gemäss dem Motto: Kaschieren kann man alles. Aber was nicht vorhanden ist, kann man auch nicht verstärken. Man sollte den natürlichen Sound des Basses hören, nur lauter!
